HyperloopTT is one of the top companies building the futuristic tube-based transportation technology. Founded in 2013, HyperloopTT secured $31 million in funding for growth and the development of patented solutions to support the hyperloop system. Currently, HyperloopTT has over 800 engineers on board.

HyperloopTT’s goal is to build a frictionless transportation system that propels passenger pods at speeds of about 700 miles per hour.

In 2019, HyperloopTT and over 80 organizations conducted a feasibility study that proved the technology is a viable venture. Still, a hyperloop system is a complex infrastructure, which requires resources and legislation. 

To convince the state’s decision-makers to support the idea of a hyperloop connecting Chicago and Cleveland, the company needed an immersive product presentation.

HyperloopTT had to impress stakeholders through a tangible experience that showcased the possibilities of this sizable undertaking.

Providing truly immersive experiences calls for innovative technologies in the field of augmented reality and spatial computing (XR). Magic Leap, a leading XR company, had just the technology HyperloopTT needed to showcase the product.

Partnering with HyperloopTT and Magic Leap, our team created a fully engaging product presentation that explained the concept of a hyperloop in multiple contexts.

At the launch of the project, HyperloopTT gave us a brief with the presentation content and visuals. We used the brief as a guideline, but in the end, the company gave us free rein on the creative process.

Relying on our expertise in AR development, HyperloopTT trusted us with the creation of designs and animations. Our cross-functional team brought HyperloopTT’s vision closer to reality using Magic Leap’s extensive toolset.

Scope of Work

For this pivotal project for HyperloopTT, we prepared a highly immersive mixed reality presentation that required in-depth knowledge of 3D modeling and augmented reality development

3D Modeling

The project required us to adjust and design the 3D models of the train and the train station. This was a learning opportunity for us since mixed reality and Magic Leap were very new on the market.

Augmented Reality Development

Using Magic Leap's vast developer ecosystem, we brought the 3D models to life to create an immersive product visualization.

Creative Direction

The client briefed us on the requirements of the project, but the creative execution was left to our AR department.

Solution

An immersive mixed reality product presentation the stakeholders could explore and interact with. The presentation was a highly engaging experience where the state’s officials grasped how a hyperloop would look and work.

We supported HyperloopTT during the press conference in Cleveland, helping the company showcase the immersive AR experience and answer all questions from the conference’s participants.
